antichrist
Shalom,
Thank you all for your input. My big issue on all this, is that AntiChrist comes in such a deceptive way as to deceive, or try to deceive, even the elect. To do this, he does not come in the flesh of a muslim, does he? Do do this, he does not come in some hedious form, does he? I think not. Rather, he comes as a angel of light.
I post on many message boards; mostly Messianic. When I do, I usually post 4 basic messages. And if you go (and I am not promoting any message board), Biblical Holidays.com, there you will find these messages: 'It is Finished, Moshe, My Servant is Dead'; Hagar: My Beloved'; Cyrus: My Moshiach'; and 'Shuvim! Aliyahim!'
The first is to refute the notion that the New Covenant is the Old 'renewed', or written on the heart of the believer. The second is to explain the notion of the remnant in Israel. The third is to teach that Cyrus the Persian is not only a type of the Messiah, but of the Church and its work of returning the Jewish remnant to God. And finally, the last is to deal with the question of what this present Israel means, is it the fulfillment of the promised return. I could repeat all these here, and will repeat any that are requested. But I am a poor typist. But for discussions' sake, I will if needed.
Israel, that is, those who care (seeing that most in Israel are not the least bit religious), look fro two things, Messiah, and the restoration. If Israel is to be truely restored, as before, then the Restorer must come, and he must, among other things, restore the place of Moses and the temple.
I do not see this happening with a muslim. Nor do I see it happening with some 'gentile messiah'. The Jews will only accept one who 'comes in his own name.'
We truely live in dangerous, and deceptive times. One of the greatest dangers comes from with the Christian community itself. There are those who rail against what 'they' define, as "replacement theology'; the church replaces Israel, and Israel has no place. And there are those who teach a 'double covenant'; one covenant for the 'gentile church', and a separate for the nation Israel.
I hold to 'Fulfillment Theology' In brief, Christ is the fulfillment. Fleshly Israel's destiny, its fulfillment, was in becoming 'spiritual Israel.' He said, 'You must be born again.' This meant you had to undergo a radical change to become part of the kingdom. And again, A seed must fall into the ground and die....' Israel was not meant to remain 'a nation apart'. It was, as the 'new thing', become the meeting place of a new creation of Jews and Gentiles, who do not rmain such, but are new in Christ.
Those who teach 'replacement', and that Israel has no more place, misunderstand the Scripture in reference to God calling out the rest of His remnant in Israel in these end of days.
Those who teach 'double covenant' destort the meaning of the New Covenant and only prepare tha way of AntiChrist.
So each believer today must ask him or herself, 'what does this present Israel mean; and what does it mean that there are once again, significant numbers of Jewish believers in the Church?
We can discuss these things here! And please do visit my website. It is unique, nothing like it on the web! http://www.habagministry.com
