Christian/Muslim ThreadsMiracle of Quran...excuseless....what do u have to say?
I have looked up the Persian victory over the Byzantines, and the best info I could find was that Damascus was captured followed by Jerusalem, completing the conquest of Syria. I have not found anything to suggest that the land conquered included the Dead Sea. Now the first meaning of adna al-ardh is the nearest land, the lowest land would be the secondary meaning. The context of the verse suggests that the adna al-ardh is a general location, but the Dead Sea is a specific location. Syria and Palestine does not constitute the lowest land just because the lowest point on the earth is on the fringe of it's territory. And if all these miracles can only be shown in the light of modern discovery, what would have been miraculous to the people of the 7th century through to the 19th century? |
