Science, Creation & EvolutionNoahs Flood is it real, is it global? If this is a science board and some of the leading proponents of ID have publicly acknowledged that ID is not science, then if we follow the rules, it should not be discussed here at all. Perhaps an ID message board is in order? I'd be happy to discuss the issue in its proper venue. Really? I don't believe I even used the word in my post. I said that at least two proponents of ID have publicly stated it is not science, that's all. I did not bring up atheism either. Then perhaps you should not have answered and just deleted the thread? I'm not married to this thread, I just offered up a question and solicited comments. Many discussion boards repeat threads from time to time. I don't see the harm, but if you want to delete the entire thread, I'll not whine. Fundamental Christian is an ill-defined term. Perhaps, you can start a thread on what that means. I've seen many people of all different shades call themselves fundamentalist. What do you mean specifically? Right, so in some regard you have a 'fundamentally' different view than do other 'fundamentalists'. Labels can be so misleading Hmm? You've made several very bad assumptions in this last post. First, I am a Christian and a scientist both. Neither is threatening to the other. There is no need to 'prove' or 'disprove' the bible. Evidence stands on its own and faith stands on its own. They are, as Gould suggests non-overlapping magisteria. The veracity/mythology of the flood story is a non-salvational issue in my opinion. -E |
