Science, Creation & EvolutionThe dangers of EvolutionThat's your perogative; however the admission that you have no experience in grant writing makes your argument ring hollow. NSF grants are not written by ghost writers with no expertise in the topic (the system does not allow this!!) so based on my experience and in-depth knowledge of NSF your argument is false. I did no such thing. If anyone can be accused of side-stepping it would be you. You've admitted to never submitting a proposal so your entire vociferous objection is somewhat useless. The same as for any other proposal. I would guess that 18-24% chance is reasonable providing the science is sound. Scientists are rogues. They strive their whole life to upset the applecart. The best ones take the most risks and are likely to get funded. I've heard whining and complaining from the creationist side about bias, but I've never seen a proposal or a paper submitted by a creationist. Now, they can whine and cry about perceived prejudice, but unless they join the fray, their arguments ring as hollow as those who whine about grants without ever writing them. -E |
