Thats your interpretation of the text Alpha, thats not what it actually means, Weve got to stop thinking about "religion" there is no "religion" there is only what God (swt) wants us to do.
"Therefore I say to you, the kingdom of God will be taken away from you and given to a people, producing the fruit of it."
I believe this verse can be attributed to Islam, i'll go through why i dont believe this can be attributed to christianity.
The Kingdom of God: I consider this to be Gods (swt) blessing, and his Prophets, not the church and the gospels(as you know them), Jesus (pbuh) knew not of the Church and gospels (the written gospels), they came after his time. Jesus (pbuh) was talking about something that was WITH the JEWS at THAT TIME. this thing that was with them was Prophethood (Jesus (pbuh) was a Jew).
Producing the fruit of it: I believe fruit in this context to be the teachings of the jewish religion and its history. "IT" in this case is the Jewish religion and prophethood. Christianity does not teach the fruits of Judaism, Christianity teaches us that Jesus (pbuh) is God and a saviour for us, Judaism teaches us that we must do good works and obey the laws to get to heaven, Islam teaches us to refrain from bad things and do good things, and to uphold God's law. Islam is closer to Judaism in its ideology than Christianity is.
So Jesus (peace be upon him) was talking of the Prophethood moving from the Jewish peoples, and to a new people and this new prophethood under a different people will testify of the old prophethood just as Muhammad (saw) testified of all the Jewish prophets (pbut) that came before him, and teaching us fruits that are the fruits of the jewish teaching. Thats my opinion, but i hope that helps all my Brothers and Sisters out there, to show us that indeed Islam is Gods will for us!
