The cephalopod eye's depth perception has evolved to an adequate level for its environment. The mammalian eye and brain have co-evolved to minimize the detrimental effects of the blind spot flaw. A bigger question for you is - why are there so many different kinds of eyes in the first place? Why would an all powerful Intelligent Designer purposely make a vision system with any flaws? Evolutionary theory provides a simple, direct explanation for the development of different vision systems, including corroborating evidence in the form of genetic and molecular similarities.
