That's ok. None taken.
However, I do not agree that what I asked was a silly question. This topic has been discussed on another religious Forum I'm part of, and the members there happen to take it seriously. None of them, not even the Catholics said it was silly.
What was Silly was tuppence agreeing with you without a single biblical reason, that was what I really found funny, silly and pathetic.

Ok.
But what if a person asking for some help came up to you and asked you the same question? Will you laugh to his face or will you address him appropriately and respectively?
You didnt exactly "ask for help" you just jumped right into it.

If someone asked me if my dad was my father, I'd say yes, he IS my father. You ignored the part when I said that the priests are being referred to as 'Father' in the religious sense.
What is the difference? Matt 23:9 does not say you
can call your biological fathers "father" but
not your religious leaders, does it? NO, it says "CALL
NO MAN FATHER"
In your prayers, do you refer to God as Father? I do, and I know you do too. But when you go to your chapel, you also call your priests 'Father' in that religious sense. There's a BIG difference between calling your dad 'father' and calling your priests 'father'. Calling the priests father I think contradicts Matt. 23:9.
Oh really? And what exactly is this difference?
According to Matt 23:9 there is no difference, you base your assertions completely on a twisted interpretation of Matt 23:9 and then twist it again and say its ok to call your biological father as "father" but not your religious leader as such! It truly amazes me.

If you ask me, I think a much more suitable term to refer one another in whatever religion an individual belongs to is 'brother' or 'sister', no matter who it is I think those terms should be referred to every member of your religion.
In the congregation we do refer to each other as brothers and sisters in Christ.

Oh ok. Sorry for the misunderstanding.
Not a problem.
