Christian/Muslim ThreadsANTI-CHRIST in Christianity and DAJJAL in Islam!!!*Deuteronomy 13:1-3- "If a prophet or a dreamer of dreams arises among you and gives you a sign or a wonder, and the sign or the wonder comes true, concerning which he spoke to you, saying, 'Let us go after other gods (whom you have not known) and let us serve them,' you shall not listen to the words of that prophet or that dreamer of dreams; for the LORD your God is testing you to find out if you love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul.* Paul never said we should leave the law behind. He was just saying you are not saved by the law. So are you telling me those who are not circumsized, or those who eat pork will go to hell? Be serious. There is nothing wrong with following the law(I try adapt to the old laws myself), but following the old laws does not save you. You first must take Christ as your Lord and Savior, then you can apply the laws and good works. In other words, you are not saved BY good works, but you are saved UNTO good works. Let me give you an example of this through Jesus HIMSELF(since you do not seem to trust Paul): Luke 6:6-11 says, On another Sabbath day, a man with a deformed right hand was in the synagogue while Jesus was teaching. The teachers of religious law and the Pharisees watched closely to see whether Jesus would heal the man on the Sabbath, because they were eager to find some legal charge to bring against him. But Jesus knew their thoughts. He said to the man with the deformed hand, "Come and stand here where everyone can see." So the man came forward. Then Jesus said to his critics, "I have a question for you. Is it legal to do good deeds on the Sabbath, or is it a day for doing harm? Is this a day to save life or to destroy it?" He looked around at them one by one and then said to the man, "Reach out your hand." The man reached out his hand, and it became normal again! At this, the enemies of Jesus were wild with rage and began to discuss what to do with him. As you see, the Pharisees wanted to kill Jesus because He healed someone on the Sabbath. The Pharisees were too much into the law. But the law was finished and grace was now into place. When Jesus said "depart from me you who practice lawlessness," he did not mean those who do not get circumsized, or those who eat pork will depart from Him. He was talking about those who did not accept Him as their Saviour. Jesus is the law now. i'm sorry my friend, but if you follow the laws of the Old Testament(like the Pharisees), but do not accept Jesus as you Lord and Saviour, that does not save you, because you would still be guilty under law. Man could not follow law, that is why Jesus came. He said, "i came into the world to save sinners, not to condemn them." If Jesus saves people, isn't He not God? Only God can save. Also Luke 5: 36-39 says, Then Jesus gave them this illustration: "No one tears a piece of cloth from a new garment and uses it to patch an old garment. For then the new garment would be torn, and the patch wouldn't even match the old garment. And no one puts new wine into old wineskins. The new wine would burst the old skins, spilling the wine and ruining the skins. New wine must be put into new wineskins." "But no one who drinks the old wine seems to want the fresh and the new. `The old is better,' they say." This is another one of jesus' figurative speech. He is saying that He is the new wine, but people like the Pharisees like to follow the Old Laws (Old wine). Luke 6:1-4 says, One Sabbath day as Jesus was walking through some grainfields, his disciples broke off heads of wheat, rubbed off the husks in their hands, and ate the grains. But some Pharisees said, "You shouldn't be doing that! It's against the law to work by harvesting grain on the Sabbath." Jesus replied, "Haven't you ever read in the Scriptures what King David did when he and his companions were hungry? He went into the house of God, ate the special bread reserved for the priests alone, and then gave some to his friends. That was breaking the law, too." This is yet another example that shows how people follow the Old law, but still do not accept Jesus. You Muslims will say, but we believe in Jesus and follow the law. But just because you believe in Him, that does not save you. The Pharisees believed in him(they actually saw Him), but did not accept Him as their Saviour. Accept Jesus as your Lord and Saviour, and you will be saved. Then you can follow the laws. But never put the laws in front of Jesus Himself. |
