Others like the Admiral seem to enjoy debating that particular branch of science more than I, so I'll leave it to him unless a particular point comes up I find interesting to comment on. Ok, to be fair, you are partially right. However, I was going for the analogy in the context of a select group of people that are reaching a conclusion based on evidence using the scientific method. In that case it's more relevant when the majority agree on what is the most logical and verifiable position. Of course if you do a random study of individuals with varying qualifications on the subject, the majority opinion would be irrelevant. It might still be CORRECT, but it wouldn't be simply because of the statistical agreement. So I should have qualified my analogy better. |
