I tend to think that the stuff that is on TV is no worse than what a person will be exposed to in the real world. SOme things they should be sheltered from at an early age(Like over the top violence) bur cursing... No.
Profane words are words that cause shock, they only have that sort of power while we allow them to. Because language changes. FOr example "s**t" just means poo. That is all. WHy it is a curse word, I have no idea.
a** means buttox
etc etc on down the line. The actual meanigs of those words are completely normal and innocent. But yet some people view tham with terror.
Nudity, nudity is a natural state. Babies are born nude, and small children seem to enjoy disrobing and running outside to show their naked forms to all the world(from my experiences with my small cousins) And most assuredly, we appreciate the naked form in classical art, and in our bedrooms later in life. SO nudity, isnt an issue.
I knew what kinky sex was when I was 4, because I never set foot in the childrens section of a library, and instead read books on sharks and shark breeding, and they bite and do all sorts of things... I knew the biology of sex at an early age, and have not been damaged by it. SHowing human sex to 6 year olds is a different story, and it may be a bit beyond them mentally, but they wont be emotionaly damaged by the implied sex schene in The Terminator
