It appears that even when the Truth is presented in Crystal clear explanatory scriptural proof, many are blinded to it. I will explain as to why some are in my end remark.

Jesus answered them, I told you, and ye believed not: the works that I do in my Father's name, they bear witness of me. But ye believe not, because ye are not of my sheep, as I said unto you. My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me: And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand. My Father, which gave them me, is greater than all; and no man is able to pluck them out of my Father's hand. I and my Father are (one). Then the Jews took up stones again to stone him. Jesus answered them, Many good works have I shewed you from my Father; for which of those works do ye stone me? The Jews answered him, saying, For a good work we stone thee not; but for blasphemy; and because that thou, being a man, (makest thyself God.) John 10:25-33

The Scribes and the Pharisees themselves knew their Hebrew and understood God to be One God and is the very reason why the Jews sought to stone Jesus because He had MADE HIMSELF GOD! Jews did not call Him God, the Scriptures states the He made Himself the Son of God. Just as there are those Today who do not understand the meaning of the word ONE as with the Pharisees, the same goes for today. Jesus clearly made claim to His deity and eventhe Jews had received the clear impression that Jesus was claiming that He is God. "Because thou, being a man, MAKEST THYSELF GOD!!! This was a claim in which Jesus DID NOT DENY!

Christians can also debate whether the True Meaning of one is in Unity or singular. The word "ONE" in the Greek language is {hen} And it can be used as meaning one mathematically or it can be used to mean one as a synonym for the word "Unity" This same word {HEN} is found used in this passage in Scripture found in these passages:

• Matthew 19:5 - And said, For this cause shall a man leave father and mother, and shall cleave to his wife: and they twain shall be (one) flesh?
• And the glory which thou gavest me I have given them; that they may be (one), even as we are one: I in them, and thou in me, that THEY may be made perfect in (one); and that the world may know that thou hast sent me, and hast loved them, as thou hast loved me. John 17:22,23
• James 2:19 - Thou believest that there is (one) God; thou doest well: the devils also believe, and tremble.

As the Scripture clearly explained by JESUS HIMSELF that Husband and wife are not One Person but are one in UNITY (one flesh) However they are spoken of as two separate persons, and once again this is clarified by Jesus Himself who came to REVEAL the Father or God. As the Church which comprises of the Body of Christ are many members but are one in Unity, and the three separate persons in Father, Son and Holy Spirit. Once again I reiterate, James also clarifies the Truth of One God. James 2:19 - "Thou believest that there (Father, Son and Holy Spirit) is one {HEN, Unified} GOD. thou doest well: the devils also believe, and tremble.

Since Jesus clearly had (one) thing, we should then CLEARLY understand that Jesus did not say (one) person. So as for the expression, "I and the Father are one" is clearly Jesus' claim of equality with the Father.
We must Understand that the Jews wanted to stone Jesus because they understood that Jesus claimed to be divine or God. Even if you were to translate it as "mighty god" or a god" as some heretics teach, it would still be illogical as to why the Jews wanted to stone Jesus because He called Himself mighty god or a god! Jesus also called God His Father and the Jews replied "we have one Father, even God."

Matthew 11:27 - All things are delivered unto me of my Father: and (no man knoweth the Son, but the Father neither knoweth any man the Father, save the Son, and he to whomsoever (the Son) will reveal him.

I've read all of Aineo's posts and it makes perfect sense to me. The problem is that many fail to submit to correction. Man does not reveal the Truth of God, the Scriptures and the inspiration of the Holy Spirit which guides us into all Truth does. Disobedience to God can lead to ones comprehension of God garbled. It is when we see Scripture and understand it as a little child, is when the Truth of God unfolds. Many make vain attempts to see the mystery of God in Christ and to find hidden knowledge not found within Gods words or His teachings for that matter, but in the end fail to see the simple Truth contained in within.
