Christian/Muslim ThreadsWhy do Muslims worship a rock(idol) for?Answer to your first question... Hajar el Aswad (the black stone in the eastern corner of the kaaba) was not there when Abraham (pbuh) built the kaaba, it was added later, no one knows why, but it has been left there to preserve the state of the mosque, the stone has nothing to do with worship in anyway. For your second question, No we dont believe that Allah (swt) lives there, Allah (swt) is omnipresent. There are two types of prayer in islam, there is Salat (worship) and Dua (prayer). Dua can be prayed anywhere any way at any time, even during Salat. Salat are manadtory prayers used to repent and wash away sins. |
