ArchivedPA officials guilty of blatant violation of First Amendment :: ReplyReply They weren't forcing it on anyone. They were sharing God's truth. Like it or not, God views homosexual activities as abominations. I don't appreciate it when homosexual activists and their supporters bombard people with their "gay is okay" message. But I'm not going to tell them that they should ignore their First Amendment rights. It is a known fact that you cannot walk through life without offending someone. So you should not be afraid to say whatever's on your mind, so long as it's not purposefully hurtful. If the other person has a problem, they can either deal with it and move on, or they can let it fester. As a Christian woman, I am expected to share the Lord's truth, even though I'm going to be hated for it. But that doesn't mean that I'm not going to be upset whenever the thought police throws a hissy fit, just because they don't like what Christian people have to say. This is a free country, and Christians are entitled to the same rights as everyone else. And another thing: I'm tired of people using the term "homophobia" whenever Christians share the truth about homosexual relationships and how they are offensive to God. Here is the definition of homophibia, as found on www.dictionary.com I don't know about the people who were arrested, but I -- for one -- do not fear or hate anyone, including homosexuals. I love them so much that I want them to know the truth about their lifestyle, before it's too late. Despite what Bill O'Reilly thinks, I don't want gays to go to Hell. If I wanted that to happen to them, why would I reveal the truth about how God feels about their lifestyle? And why on Earth would I share the message that God loves them so much that He gave His one and only Son? That just doesn't make sense. There is a difference -- a huge difference -- between actual Christians and those who are Christian by name, but not by faith or deed. (Ex: the Westboro cult members.) However, I'm not going to give in to the world's POV, which says that if you love someone, you're going to accept their lifestyle, even though it goes against God's teachings. There is a greater love, which comes from Jesus Christ, and it is pure, holy, just and righteous. I believe that if a Christian truly loves those around him/her, then they have a responsibility to reach out with the gospel in the hopes that the other person will be pulled out of harm's way. That's all these Christians were trying to do. Do you know why the Pink Angels tried to drown out the Christians' message? It's because they knew that the Christians were sharing the truth, and they didn't want to hear it. They didn't want to hear it, because they knew that they'd be forced to make a decision: accept Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior, or continue down the path of destruction. The truth offended them, so they decided to behave like children and drown out the Christians, whose only "crime" was loving these people so much that they wanted them to know the truth. |
