In John 10:34-35 Jesus speaking to the Jews says, "Is it not written in your law, I SAID, YE ARE GODS? If he called them , unto whom the word of God came, and the scripture cannot be broken; Say ye of him, whom the Father hath sanctified and sent into the world, Thou blasphemest ; because I said, I am the Son of God? the Bible I have references Psalm 82:6 and says YE ARE GODS refers to hebrew judges who interpret God's Law and justice. His point is not to deny diety, but to deny that he had said anything that could necessarily be constructed as the crime of blasphemy. He was also demonstrating His superior knowledge of Scripture.- the Nelson King James study Bible
