Homosexuality is not a civil rights issue, it is a morality issue. There is no empirical evidence that homosexuality is genetic, innate, immutable, or unchangeable.
That said, homosexuals are not lower class citizens or sub-humans that should be treated with less justice or repect than any other human being. Since you and Gerani are so hot to defend Hinduism and are so concerned about civil rights why defend a religion that teaches the caste systems, which denies equal rights for untouchables?
The untouchablity feature in the caste system is one of the cruelest features of the caste system. It is seen by many as one of the strongest racist phenomenon in the world.

You may not like what the Bible teaches concerning homosexuality but at least the Bible teaches:
Galatians 3:28-29
28 There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free man, there is neither male nor female; for you are all one in Christ Jesus. 29 And if you belong to Christ, then you are Abraham's offspring, heirs according to promise. NAS

Actually platypus you are wrong. There is a vast amount of evidence that shows the Bible is historically accurate.
You don't have to believe what the Bible teaches, but before you resort to ad hominems I suggest you study not only the Bible but the archeological evidence that shows it to be accurate.
