Hi Aineo
Our right to label homosexuality is protected by the 1st Amendment to our Consitution. Even the Federal Courts do not have the authority to stop us from teaching Biblical truth since that would be prohibiting the free exercise of our religion and free speech.
I suspect there are some inherent dangers in that interperetation. Unless of course the same right is accorded to Gerani where he can state that to his understanding and his faith homosexuality is not an abomination.
The point being would stating an opinion that opposed the view christians often seem to hold about homosexuality be against your right to express your opinion, if so then you would be opposing Gerani's right to free speech. I just have this feeling that the line of argument you are using may be self contradicting purely in the logical sense.
I just sense using the 1st amendment like this is only going to result in more anger on both sides.
Shalom
Sophie.
