I'm not interested in imaginary scenarios. I'm vastly more interested in dealing with and discussing things for which we have evidence.
One of the pieces of evidence we have, as partly documented by Rare Earth and documented even more fully many other places, is that the requirements for life as we know it on earth, are so strict as to virtually eliminate any other place in the universe we are aware of.
Our lack of knowledge about other places is NOT evidence for life or even the possibility of life. Lack of knowledge is never evidence of anything. It may be a springboard for imaginations, but it is not evidence.
