I have done some research on this, and I have to agree that Receptus is in my opinion better and more accurate. It was found origionally in Antiotch and this is after all where some of the first Christian Churches were found.
Keep in mind that some of the NT manuscripts may come from some of the Heritical Gnostic sects that were around at the time. Also only 400 of texts were examined out of several thousand to form the NIV, so it's really not the oldest and not the most accurate translation.
Plus Sinticanus and Vaticanus smell like they came out of the Pope's rear end, and nearly all of the modern versions have a tendency to lean as strictly Catholic bias.
The Catholic Church corrupted the scripture and changed it to suite their needs, that's a irrefutable fact. All of their dactorines come misrepresented and out of context versus. As for the Apocrypha, I omit it because I am not a papist.
You can be sure that next Pope is going to add on another Dogma that will enrage us Fundamentalists; more work more rituals and more burdens placed on the souls.
