Quran and Bible debateKoran confirms Jesus Crucifixion...Greetings Phiz,
True… However, the resultant posture is no doubt what this is referring to….
Sounds like someone is taking a college course in logic….. Well…tell me…..do the same “rules” apply to Greek as well as Arabic…? And….the LITV (Literal) renders the passage this way… (Job 36:33) its thunder tells about Him; also the cattle, as to what is coming. I look at it like this… Think of the words of scripture as electronic components. As components, these words have defined parameters under which they can operate. The operation parameters of these components are defined from their manufacturer’s data sheets; i.e. quality Lexical sources. Thus, once the characteristics of the components are known, then we can see how they have been used when connected to other components to make up an entire circuit… Understanding the words, or components, is the starting point. The context is the circuit into which they are placed. If you want to understand how the entire circuit functions, then you must understand the individual components capabilities first, and then proceed onto the entire circuit. As you can see in my posts, showing word definition, immediate context, root origins, as well as how the word and root is utilized throughout the entire whole of scripture, bears much fruit…
First of all…..“ttariqi” is masculine singular. Thus, forcing a plurality upon it would not seem appropriate….would you not agree…? How will you know if you are on the right track…? Plug and play… If you use your definitions…..will they make sense in the context of the Sura…?
Again…plug and play….
Agreed…
And yet…..there is no denying that they exist… Look at it this way…..the Koran is merely an extra-Biblical confirmation to the authority of the Holy Bible… The Book of Revelation was fully intact centuries BEFORE the Koran was ever penned… How the Book of Revelation material ended up in the Koran is irrelevant…..the fact remains that it is indeed there……thus, our task is to understand just how far the rabbit hole goes… For what it is worth….the Koran confirms the authenticity of the Book of Revelation…lock, stock, and barrel…. Really? Let’s look… 2:28 και δωσω αυτω τον αστερα τον πρωινον And I will give him the star morning. πρωινον = “proinos” (pro-ee-nos') Strong’s #4407. Pertaining to early morning, early, belonging to the morning. The morning star, Venus. Rev. 2.28; 22.16. From - proi 4404; pertaining to the dawn, i.e. matutinal:--morning. 1X. This adjective qualifies aster, “star”, in Rev 2.28. That Christ will give to the over comer “the morning star” indicates a special interest for such in Himself. For Israel He will appear as “the sun of righteousness; as the “morning” Star which precedes the dawn, He will appear for the rapture of the Church. Adverb from - pro 4253; at dawn; by implication, the day-break watch:--early (in the morning), (in the) morning. a primary preposition; "fore", i.e. in front of, prior (figuratively, superior) to:--above, ago, before, or ever. In the comparative, it retains the same significations. I am the Root and Offspring of David, the bright and morning Star. ορθρινος = “orthrinos” (or-thrin-os') “orthrinos” definition: Strong’s #3720. Early in the morning. Rev 22.16. From - orthros 3722; relating to the dawn, i.e. matutinal (as an epithet of Venus, especially brilliant in the early day):--morning. from the same as - oros 3735; dawn (as sun-rise, rising of light); by extension, morn:--early in the morning. 1X. probably from an obsolete oro (to rise or "rear"; perhaps akin to - airo 142; compare 3733); a mountain (as lifting itself above the plain): -hill, mount (-ain). a primary root; to lift up; by implication, to take up or away; figuratively, to raise (the voice), keep in suspense (the mind), specially, to sail away (i.e. weigh anchor); by Hebraism (compare nasa' 5375) to expiate sin:--away with, bear (up), carry, lift up, loose, make to doubt, put away, remove, take (away, up). Or nacah (Psalm ''eb' (4): ''abad' (6) (7)) {naw-saw'}; a primitive root; to lift, in a great variety of applications, literal and figurative, absol. and rel. (as follows):--accept, advance, arise, (able to, (armor), suffer to) bear(-er, up), bring (forth), burn, carry (away), cast, contain, desire, ease, exact, exalt (self), extol, fetch, forgive, furnish, further, give, go on, help, high, hold up, honorable (+ man), lade, lay, lift (self) up, lofty, marry, magnify, X needs, obtain, pardon, raise (up), receive, regard, respect, set (up), spare, stir up, + swear, take (away, up), X utterly, wear, yield.
