Jovaro, if you are an exhibition of education in the Netherlands, then America isn't doing as badly as I thought! If you had been tested here, even in your own first language, in the last few months on history, biology, or physics, you would have flunked.
Trade routes do not mean slavery at one end! Trade is simply trade. Europe and the Middle East had been trading with India and the Far East for centuries! Millennia, actually. That had nothing to do with the Age of Exploration which is considered to have started with Columbus' efforts to sail to the west in order to reach the East.
In the meantime, slavery extends as far back as human history is known. So does looting and pillaging!
It was, in fact, those who were Christian in the western cultures who brought an end to slavery in the West. It is still going on in Muslim countries and other places, only not quite so openly. Terrorist attacks, you will note, are not from the Christians, but upon them -- and anyone else the Muslim fanatics are choosing to behead.
If you have a library in your town, maybe it would be best if you spent more time there than on the net for awhile. At least do a little research about what you want to talk about and don't just accept everything you have evidently been taught or indoctrinated with as sterling truth! Check the facts.
