Science, Creation & EvolutionHelix - atheistLike I said before, I don't like to be 'categorised'. What I write is just what I think. It might differs in a lot of ways from the views of evolutionists. Well maybe Zhonghe Zhou and his buddies should stop digging up all those feathered dinosaurs (read 'transitional fossils') in China. ------------------------ Actually Aineo, I thought I had answered your question. I will rephrase my words if that helps: You asked: Whatever we call 'morality' needed a language first, to express the concepts of right and wrong. Other animals (non-humans) could quite possibly create their own morals, but they need to develop a language first, to allow more complex commication. (They need to describe abstract ideas). And then again, evolution doesn't work towards a goal. Animals will NOT start forming a language just so that they can describe morals. It's like saying "if driving a car can make you go faster than any prey, why do predators not evolve in something that can build cars?" The fact that we can build cars is (just like having morals) also a side-effect of our complex society, not a goal of evolution. |
