Archivedbad theology of Dr Ross.Aineo Wonderful passage, totally misapplied in this circumstance. Certainly, as you and I look around this world we see that society emphasizes exactly the opposite of what God says is good. This passage speaks to the foolishness of man, and his selfishness, and, and contrasts it with Gods infinite wisdom. To use this verse to imply that man, through science, or any other intellectual means, should NOT search out God with our minds, is foolishness. Ross, in his attempt to know God, uses the tools God has given him to search Him out. Ross is a brilliant man, with a sharp mind. He chooses to honor God through use of that mind to know Him better, and you fall to the level of critisizing this avenue? As in "Chariots of Fire" when Eric said to his sister "I feel Gods pleasure when I run"....so it is when any of us use our gifts for the purpose of glorifying God. Ross earnestly seeks to further the Gospel by the use of science, which is his gift. To denigrate, or in any way make light of a mans earnest attempt to know and spread the Gospel is both foolish, and unkind. Your disagreement with his exegesis is purely academic, and not at all salvational. The essays posted by Tuppence, and the insinuations you have made aim right at the center of pure judgementalism toward a mans heart. I repeat, I have never made any such claim about those I disagree with, too bad not everyone can say the same. (I am not just refering to whats been said on this thread) |
