To 'Unconvinced:' A Continuing Dialogue
In 2000 years the followers of Christianity can and did interpret and reinterpret The Word a million different ways; this is also true of all the old religions. It is equally true of the Baha'i Faith except there is in this Faith an authoritative line of interpretation to preserve some unity, some core of commonality, in the forest of individual interpretation. The old religions, including Christianity, lack this single authoritative interpretive voice. The result is that you can interpret The Word your way and a million other Christians can interpret it their ways and you get a thousand sects, cults, denominations, isms and wasms. The screw-up, to put it in the vernacular, comes from hundreds of sources.
