"Loving Homosexuals as Jesus Would" was authored by an ex-gay man. I can also suggest any books by Joe Dallas, Alan Medinger, and Dennis Jernigan (who is also a Christian song writer/recording artist) all of whom are ex-gay and married.
Jesus would have loved homosexuals in the same manner He loved all people. Just as He told the woman taken in adultery "Neither do I judge you; go and sin no more"; He would say the same to a homosexual.
It is well past the time the church took off their heterocentric blinders and started treating all people the same way.
Romans 1:16-17
16 For I am not ashamed of the gospel, for it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes, to the Jew first and also to the Greek. 17 For in it the righteousness of God is revealed from faith to faith; as it is written, "But the righteous man shall live by faith." NAS
1 Corinthians 5:9-13
9 I wrote you in my letter not to associate with immoral people; 10 I did not at all mean with the immoral people of this world, or with the covetous and swindlers, or with idolaters; for then you would have to go out of the world. 11 But actually, I wrote to you not to associate with any so-called brother if he should be an immoral person, or covetous, or an idolater, or a reviler, or a drunkard, or a swindler-- not even to eat with such a one. 12 For what have I to do with judging outsiders? Do you not judge those who are within the church? 13 But those who are outside, God judges. Remove the wicked man from among yourselves. NAS
The Church needs to do some house cleaning before they even attempt to clean those outside of it.
