One more time, Helix.
Helix, you never did completely answer my questions. I'll run you through them one more time.
1. If there is no God, where do our consciences come from?
2. If there is no God, where does our ability to make decisions come from?
3. If there is no God, where does our intelligence come from?
4. If there is no God, where do our emotions come from?
Now, you can blame the Big Bang theory for the creation of physical things. But what about the creation of the things I listed above?
Also, can you prove that the Big Bang created everything? Offer me proof, Helix. Absolute, solid, tested and retested proof, from non-biased sources.
I'd like to leave you with the following Scriptures referring to the so-called intelligence of man, in the hopes that they will reach you.
Daniel 12:10 - Many will be purified, made spotless and refined, but the wicked will continue to be wicked. None of the wicked will understand, but those who are wise will understand.
1 Corinthians 2:14 - The man without the Spirit does not accept the things that come from the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him, and he cannot understand them, because they are spiritually discerned.
2 Pet 2:16-18
But he was rebuked for his wrongdoing by a donkey--a beast without speech--who spoke with a man's voice and restrained the prophet's madness.
These men are springs without water and mists driven by a storm. Blackest darkness is reserved for them. For they mouth empty, boastful words and, by appealing to the lustful desires of sinful human nature, they entice people who are just escaping from those who live in error.
tuppence, don't forget that the "gods" and "goddesses" that the Greeks and other pagan cultures referred to may have been, in fact, demonic forces who appeared to them. It's not improbable. After all, 1 Corinthians 10:19-20 states that "the sacrifices of pagans are offered to demons..." It would make sense if demons came to these pagan people and said, "I am a god. Worship me!", knowing that if these people did as they were commanded, they would turn away from God and thus be doomed.
