So this thread is not about Biblical truth but that you have to be right?
Ah, the angst of youth.
Acts 9:15-16
Lord said to him, "Go, for he is a chosen instrument of Mine, to bear My name before the Gentiles and kings and the sons of Israel; 16 for I will show him how much he must suffer for My name's sake. " NAS
Phil 1:29-30
29 For to you it has been granted for Christ's sake, not only to believe in Him, but also to suffer for His sake, 30 experiencing the same conflict which you saw in me, and now hear to be in me. NAS
Rom 8:15-17
15 For you have not received a spirit of slavery leading to fear again, but you have received a spirit of adoption as sons by which we cry out, "Abba! Father!" 16 The Spirit Himself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God, 17 and if children, heirs also, heirs of God and fellow heirs with Christ, if indeed we suffer with Him in order that we may also be glorified with Him. NAS
The problem with your thesis Omega is that some have suffered the same agony as Christ suffered.
A Christian life is not a bed of roses, not is it a life of challanging others who disagree with your esoteric posts that lack sufficient explanation of your point.
Lazarus did not suffer, he lived an average life and died so Jesus could demonstrate He had authority over death.
Jesus died once for all after a brutal beating and a couple hours on the cross. Paul was stoned many times, imprisoned and probably beaten to within an inch of his life more than once. Martyrs were burned at the stake after being skinned and brutalized. In human terms there are martyrs who suffered more physical torment than Jesus did.
A plan teaching of what you want to say is far more informative and beneficial to the Body of Christ than ludicrous comparisons that lack truth and substance.
Jesus taught in parables, but the parables used common experiences with underlying lessons.
Have you seen the Passion of Christ? You are not going to express in words what that movie presented in graphic detail. And even as graphic as that movie was if falls short of the truth.
Jesus suffered so we can be free. So why concentrate on the past when our future is the result of His dieing once for all?
