Christian/Muslim ThreadsIs Christian Faith in Vain?alimustafakhan, The same holds true for the story of Daniel and the lions den. A man was betrayed by his own people, sent to death, faced death, and God almighty protected them from that death. Jesus was different. He was and is the Messiah. He was sent to clense us of our sins. The heart of the earth has been reffered to as "hell" by many religions. During Jesus's countless tourcher, he was in hell (from a physical sense of pain). When He was on the Cross, he was in hell (in a physical sense of pain). "Jesus was crucified on the Cross, died and was buried. He ascended into hell, and on the 3rd day rose again from the dead." Actually there were only three men. The power that Jesus was given was the power to defeat the serpent. One thing you left out was the temtpation of lucifer. It was this temptation, in the garden, that made Jesus ask to be relieved of this burden. That is when Jesus stomped the head of the serpent, and was no longer tempted to not take his path. Just as it was predicted to lucifer in the Garden of Edan. "He will stomp your head, you will bruise his heel". Actually, Jesus ordered this after the fighting had begun. 2 fled, 1 stayed to fight, and cut off the ear of the soilder. Jesus made that order to stop any futher bloodshed in his name. Then he re-attached the ear of the soilder.
This soilder, was the same soilder who had his ear re-attached by Jesus. He witnessed the mircle on himself. He refused to break the legs of the messiah that healed him, knowing he was already dead. The roman captain gave the order to pierce his side to make sure he was dead. Actually many people in that time were buried in tombs. Not just Jews, but egyptians, etc etc. Mark 16:1 - And when the sabbath was past, Mary Magdalene, and Mary the mother of James, and Salome, had bought sweet spices, that they might come and anoint him. At this time, many different cultures tried to preserve the body after death. And this was the messiah, Jesus Christ. Now ali, let me pose this question to you. If today your prophet muhamed, was alive and then killed, how many muslims would try to preserve the body after his death? I think he would be "anointed" daily. But no where in the Bible does it say "massage". Jesus was covered in clothe naked. When he rose from the dead, he was naked in clothe. Im pretty sure there weren't any clothing stores around then. He most likely grabbed what he found first.
She asked this because he had been taken from his tomb. The tomb of the Messiah Jesus Christ. Again ali, apply it to your religion. If muhamed was removed from his tomb, do you think one of his followers would have asked for the body back in order not to desecrate a sacred tomb? Of course. |
