I was reading Mere Christainity by C.S Lewis and he explained the consince thing that someone tried to explain earlier...
When people fight there is some known standard of morality which everyone knows. The person who is accused of doing wrong rarely says "to hell with your standard" but makes up excuses... and though different civillizations have different "morals" the Law of Human Nature or concience is still the same. No man is thought honorable for betraying a friend.
At the same time even though everyone is aware of this law no one obeys it. We are not capable. This implies that the law was not made by us but by a higher power. God.
He goes on to explain that for a long time people have studied the facts of the universe to find out where we came from. But science does not equal proof because we can only see the surface. Anyone studying man from the outside would never know that we have this moral law, because we fail to follow it. In the same way we can't see the forces controlling the universe, and no amount of science ever will. In fact the only thing we will ever be able to fully see and understand is ourselves. And when we look at ourselves and see that their is a law written on everyman's heart, that no man trully follows but knows he should, or should I say that there is a hidden command within us trying to get us to behave a certain way then we can conclude that their is a controlling force behind the world.
This is why having a "conscience" disproves evolution.
