The pill is actually beneficial in some ways, but not in others. On one hand, it regulates periods. If you're taking the pill, your periods will be predictable, painless and not too heavy. The pill also clears up acne. It has a couple of negative effects, for example an increased risk of breast cancer. It can also make you put on a little bit of weight, which can be good or bad depending on how much you weigh in the first place.
Some contraceptives can stop periods all together or reduce them so much they are very infrequent. Sounds like a good idea if you ask me.
As for condoms... well, you don't need to use them if you're married and if you aren't married, you shouldn't be doing it anyway IMO.
