Science, Creation & EvolutionEvolution VS Bible debateHow can you possibly fit reading a book with religion? I see where you are coming from, but reading a book is on a different scale than evolution and creation. "Evolution is, indeed, the pseudoscientific basis of religious atheism, as Ruse pointed out." "(Evolution) must, they feel, explain everything. . . . A theory that explains everything might just as well be discarded since it has no real explanatory value. Of course, the other thing about evolution is that anything can be said because very little can be disproved. Experimental evidence is minimal." ~ Bryan Appleyard Actual experimental evidence demonstrating macroevolution is nonexistent... "As far as the twentieth century is concerned, the leading evolutionist is generally considered to be Sir Julian Huxley, primary architect of modern neo-Darwinism. Huxley called evolution a "religion without revelation" and wrote a book with that title (2nd edition, 1957)." (emphasis mine) True, the elephant is large even though it is not a dinosaur. But that still doesn't dismiss anything at all. Dinosaurs are unique. But wait, the word you typed was "animals". Would that not counter argue the evolutionist point of view? People made unique words for them; sure. But, what does it matter whether the Bible calls it a Behemoth or a Brachiosaurus? The Bible, in the original Hebrew language, mentions the word "Tanniyn". This translates into: "dragon", "serpent", "sea monster", "dinosaur", "great creature", and "reptile". Job 40:15-24 mentions that thebehemoth, "moves his tail like a cedar." That obviously means a cedar tree. No animal has a tail the size of a cedar tree except for a dinosaur (Brachiosaurus). The Bible also makes mention of "Leviathan". Job 41; Psalm 104:25, 26; Isaiah 27:1. “His rows of scales are his pride, shut up tightly as with a seal; one is so near another that no air can come between them; they are joined one to another, they stick together and cannot be parted.” “His sneezings flash forth light, and his eyes are like the eyelids of the morning. Out of his mouth go burning lights; sparks of fire shoot out. Smoke goes out of his nostrils, as from a boiling pot and burning rushes. His breath kindles coals, and a flame goes out of his mouth.” Leviathan is a “reptile that is in the sea.” (Isaiah 27:1) Those verses show that Leviathan is a huge sea creature, probably the same as most sea-dwelling dinosaurs, or in general, a one-name-fits-all reference to sea-creatures that are dinosaur in scale. Creationism is quite proven: the Bible says so. So, then that goes to a whole new level of arguing. Evolutionists cannot argue against Creation being a 'theory', they have to try now and dive into the history of the Bible. And the Bible is getting A LOT of merit and new support nowadays. Frankly, science is aiming in the direction of God more and more today. I am taking my bachelor's of science in Chemistry in another 6 months or so! I can't wait to serve the Lord in His beautiful world of science! |
