I will have to go back and listen again. things were happening here at the house when I was listening. The parts I heard were fine. I prefere the term eternal security, and here is why. I believe that salvation comes when we are crusified with Christ. Accepting Christ as savior, to me, is not salvation. Surrendering to Him as Lord, losing ones life so Christ can be birthed in us is salvation. I am not an easy believism Christian. We surrender to the Lord who saves. Christ is the Lord who saves, not the savior who is Lord.
Go back and study Genesis Chapters two and three. Almost every scripture in chapter two uses the phrase, "the Lord God said". Now look at the first couple of verses in Chapter 3. The first part of satan's lie was not what he said, but what he didn't say. He used the phrase "hath God Said". He left out Lord! Now go back and read your traditional salvation scriptures [Romans 10:8-13]. Just about all of them talk about the Lordship of Jesus Christ.
How many times does Paul use the Phrase, "the Lord Jesus Christ"? If we surrender all to the Lordship of Christ, there is simply nothing left to lose. You can only lose that which you posess. I don't own salvation, Salvation owns me, for Christ is salvation, and the Lord possesor of my being. To say you can lose your salvation, is calling Christ too butter fingered to hang on to His possesions which He bought with His own Blood. Pretty high price to pay for something ya can't hang onto, wouldn't ya say?
