From my point of view it seems as if the creationists can not cope with the idea of an endless amount of time.
Given en endless amount of time and one (or an endless amount of) universe(s), anything can happen.
Example: If I take 5*10^100000 coins (extremely many coins) and I throw them in the air. Some coins will have side 1 up and other coins will have side 2 up. If I throw all those coins in the air again and check the sides, it will most likely look different from the first time.
If I throw enough times, there will be a throw where all the coins turn up with side 1. It will probably take era's and era's, but it can happen.
That seems impossible for creationists to understand...
Any comments?
I beg to differ.
Gap theorists also have the difference of time, yet do not believe in evolution.
There are also Christian evolutionists and Christian young earthers. The difference between the two is a literal interpretation of Genesis. Evolutionists do not read it as literal.
For non Christian evolutionists vs young earthers, the difference is God.
The rest is all words in comparison to the Word.
