My number of 2 million is the
number of American Muslims associated with a mosque as determined by the
Hartford Institute for Religion and the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) in the study --"
The Mosque in America: A National Portrait.". The footnote for my source is
This was part of a study of all faith groups in the U.S. called: "Faith Communities Today:
Mosque in America: A National Portrait." It was released in 2001-APR. Leaders in 416 mosques were asked to estimate the number of people involved in their mosque in any way. The average answer was 1,625 participants. There are 1,209 known mosques in the U.S. If the average of all mosques was the same as the 416 sampled, then the total "mosqued Muslims" in the U.S. is 1.96 million. Source--

Observation: When did CAIR become a Jewish organization?
If you are not associated with a mosque, church, or synagogue; are you a Muslim, Christian, or Jew?
