ArchivedDoes society define Christian standards? So you would disagree that it is right for some Christians to avoid wine altogether because they don't think they can handle the temptation, or because they don't want to be associated with consuming alcohol, whether or not drinking alcohol is forbidden in the Bible? It's my desire to live a separated lifestyle. Being separated means not doing things that the world does. The world drinks (mostly to get drunk, but many times not), and since I don't want to be associated with the world, I don't drink. Am I wrong for allowing society's views on alcohol (i.e. they think it's ok and they promote it, therefore I stay away from it) to affect my standards? This is the point I'm driving at with this thread. |
