Homosexual Discussion ForumDoes America need a TV network pushing the homosexual agendaHere is how I describe sexual orientations in regard to academic research and talking to those who are licensed and certified mental health professionals* who counsel people in regard to issues of sexual orientation. *Refers to those who are educated in psychology and counseling and have a license to practice their professions in psychology, psychiatry, social work, or human behavorial health fields. One's sexual orientation is determined by toward whom one experiences physiological sexual attraction sensations down in the lower body behind the pubic bone (in the area of the prostate for males or of the uterus for females). These sexually connected physiological [meaning they are not in the area of the chest nor in the imagination area of the brain] feelings happen when both of the people are fully clothed and can even be felt in total darkness. In both my academic research about blind persons and also talking to blind people, too, I have found that those who are sightless know when their body is telling them that a person is in the immediately vicinity who might be sexually compatible, and that the blind person experiences them when the other person has not announced his (or) presence to the blind person. So, while some people who don't understand what sexual orientation is, the truth is one's imagination or even sight is NOT even needed to experience those physiological sexual attractions directed at another person. Sexual orientation must not be confused with sexual preferences. One does not have any control over one's physiological sexual attractions; but, one can show a preference toward some of those persons toward whom one experiences those attractions. And one's sexual preferences also refer to the type of sexual activity one has with another person. Orientation = NO choice, no thinking about sex is required at all, it just happens without notice; Preference = One or more choices which have to be thought about. Exclusively heterosexual means that a person never experiences physiological sexual attractions toward members of the same sex. Exclusively homosexual means that a person never experiences physiological sexual attractions toward members of the opposite sex. Bisexual means that a person experiences physiological sexual attractions toward members of both sexes. ******** Added note here, I have been following the practices of Exodus International since it was founded in the mid-1970s and I know quite a bit about its original founding and founders, too. In fact, it began in an Assemblies of God church in Anaheim, California. |
