Christian/Muslim ThreadsKoran confirms that Jesus is God...Peace, ok...i understand this. Disbelievers = the ones who say Allah is the Messiah; the Believers would then = the ones who say Allah IS NOT the Messiah. but somehow you managed to connect Muslims with the Disbelievers(the ones who say Allah is the Messiah). its becoming difficult to follow your arguement because it keeps shifting... why would you want to prove that the Qur'an confirms Jesus(peace and blessings be upon him) being God, when you believe that the Qur'an borrows from the Bible...why not just dismiss it all together? why do you dedicate so much time to it if you don't believe or follow it? you write: It is definitely true that the Koranic god “Allah” is not the Messiah. if this is true, then how do you still have a case for saying the Qur'an confirms Allah(the Qur'anic God as you put it) is the Messiah? the passage you just went into detail about seems to paint the image and i think you agree... that disbelievers = ones who say Allah is the Messiah that believers = ones who say Allah is NOT the Messiah. which group of people is it that says..."God is the Messiah"? regarding your comments on the Trinity: again, i must commend you. it seems that you have done quite a lot of homework...and i am impressed. i cannot really comment on some of the Arabic you brought into question as i am unfamilar with it. ..."and do no say 3. Stop, for it is best for you. but Allah is one Allah..." you write: “thalithu” definition: Third. It comes from the root “thalatha”, which means to take a third part of a thing. Reference: The Dictionary of the Holy Qur’an Abdul Mannan Omar p. 83 - 84 so according to this defintion, it means to take something that is singular(a thing) and divide it into thirds(take a third part)...do you agree? God is a singular entity...the Bible and Jesus(peace and blessings be upon him) confirm. so now disbelief/blasphemy again surfaces in the idea that this singular entity, God, has been put into thirds. now according to you, the concept of a Trinity is not 3 individual Gods(similar to a council if you will)...it is a Single God...but with how many members? how many members are in the Trinity? the Father is God, the Son is God and the Holy Spirit is God...each is God. we have 3 members...this singular God is now divided into what?...thirds!...isn't that what the Qur'an is talking about? Those who said: "That Allah (is) third (of) three." had disbelieved, and (there is) no Allah except from one Allah, and if they do not end/stop from what they say, a painful torture will touch those who disbelieved from them. (5:73) God is third of three? in mathmatics how many whole numbers is this fraction...3/3?...17/17? the Qur'an does not say disbelievers believe in 3 seperate Gods, then it would read..."Those who said: 'That Allah (is) 3 Allahs'...", it says "those who say Allah is 1/3 of 3(parts) are in disbelief"... i ask again...which group of people is that attributes "parts/members" to God?
