Christian/Muslim ThreadsKoran confirms that Jesus is God...Greetings Khaleel,
I primarily follow “The Koran, Complete Dictionary & Literal Translation”, by Mohamed Ahmed I have found this literal Koranic translation to be far and away the most accurate translation available today…aside from that of self-study…
This ayah is telling us that the DISBELIEVERS said that the Koranic god “Allah” is the MESSIAH. In other words….”Allah” is NOT the Messiah. The Holy Bible tells us that Jesus, the Messiah, is the true Creator God of the Universe, Yahweh… Not the Koranic god “Allah”. It is definitely true that the Koranic god “Allah” is not the Messiah. The Koranic god “Allah” just “borrows” the deity of the Biblical Jesus…
The word “Trinity” does not exist in the Holy Bible. Nor does it exist in the Koran. Let’s look at the true words of this ayah… لَقَدْ كَفَرَ الَّذِينَ قَالُوا إِنَّ اللَّهَ ثَالِثُ ثَلَاثَةٍ وَمَا مِنْ إِلَهٍ إِلَّا إِلَهٌ وَاحِدٌ وَإِنْ لَمْ يَنتَهُوا عَمَّا يَقُولُونَ لَيَمَسَّنَّ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا مِنْهُمْ عَذَابٌ أَلِيمٌ Laqad kafara allatheena qaloo inna Allaha thalithu thalathatin wama min ilahin illa ilahun wahidun wa-in lam yantahoo AAamma yaqooloona layamassanna allatheena kafaroo minhum AAathabun aleemun Those who said: "That Allah (is) third (of) three." had disbelieved, and (there is) no Deity except from one Deity, and if they do not end/stop from what they say, a painful torture will touch those who disbelieved from them. (5:73) ثَالِثُ = “thalithu” “thalithu” definition: Third. It comes from the root “thalatha”, which means to take a third part of a thing. Reference: The Dictionary of the Holy Qur’an Abdul Mannan Omar p. 83 - 84 ثَلَاثَةٍ = “thalathatin” “thalathatin” definition: Three. It comes from the root “thalatha”, which means to take a third part of a thing. Reference: The Dictionary of the Holy Qur’an Abdul Mannan Omar p. 83 - 84 إِلَهٌ = “ilahun” “ilahun” definition: God; Deity; Worthy of worship. It comes from the root “ilaha”, which means to adore, worship, deify, anyone, call any one god. Reference: The Dictionary of the Holy Qur’an Abdul Mannan Omar p. 28 Thus, this ayah is telling us that the DISBELIEVERS said that the Koranic god is a THIRD of THREE….confirming that the concept of the Biblical Creator is not THREE, nor a THIRD of THREE… In other words…the god “Allah” of the Koran is not THREE, nor a THIRD of THREE. Furthermore, this ayah informs us that there is only one Deity – Again, another confirmation to what the Holy Bible already tells us… Here is how Yusuf Ali translates “trinity” elsewhere in the Koran… Yusuf Ali (Some) say they were THREE, the dog being the fourth among them; (others) say they were five, the dog being the sixth,- doubtfully guessing at the unknown; (yet others) say they were seven, the dog being the eighth. Say thou: 'My Lord knoweth best their number; It is but few that know their (real case).' Enter not, therefore, into controversies concerning them, except on a matter that is clear, nor consult any of them about (the affair of) the Sleepers. Sayaqooloona THALATHATUN rabiAAuhum kalbuhum wayaqooloona khamsatun sadisuhum kalbuhum rajman bialghaybi wayaqooloona sabAAatun wathaminuhum kalbuhum qul rabbee aAAlamu biAAiddatihim ma yaAAlamuhum illa qaleelun fala tumari feehim illa miraan thahiran wala tastafti feehim minhum ahadan Yusuf Ali Seest thou not that Allah doth know (all) that is in the heavens and on earth? There is not a secret consultation between THREE, but He makes the fourth among them, - Nor between five but He makes the sixth,- nor between fewer nor more, but He is in their midst, wheresoever they be: In the end will He tell them the truth of their conduct, on the Day of Judgment. For Allah has full knowledge of all things. (58:7) Alam tara anna Allaha yaAAlamu ma fee alssamawati wama fee al-ardi ma yakoonu min najwa THALATHATIN illa huwa rabiAAuhum wala khamsatin illa huwa sadisuhum wala adna min thalika wala akthara illa huwa maAAahum ayna ma kanoo thumma yunabbi-ohum bima AAamiloo yawma alqiyamati inna Allaha bikulli shay-in AAaleemun Thus, you can see for yourself how the Modern translators have attempted to word-smith the Koran into stating something that it surely does not… The Koran is simply parroting its source material…the Holy Bible… Let’s not forget what this Koranic ayah commands of us… You The Book's people, do not exaggerate/exceed the limit in your religion, and do not say on (about) Allah except the truth, but the Messiah, Jesus, Mary's son (is) Allah's messenger and His word/expression He threw it away to Mary, and a Soul/Spirit from Him; so believe with Allah, and His messengers, AND DO NOT SAY: "THREE." STOP (IT IS) BEST FOR YOU, but Allah (is) one Allah, His praise/glory that to be for him a child; for Him what (is) in the skies/space and what (is) in the earth/Planet Earth, enough/sufficient with Allah (as a) guardian/protector. (4:171) Ya ahla alkitabi la taghloo fee deenikum wala taqooloo AAala Allahi illa alhaqqa innama almaseehu AAeesa ibnu maryama rasoolu Allahi wakalimatuhu alqaha ila maryama waroohun minhu faaminoo biAllahi warusulihi wala taqooloo thalathatun intahoo khayran lakum innama Allahu ilahun wahidun subhanahu an yakoona lahu waladun lahu ma fee alssamawati wama fee al-ardi wakafa biAllahi wakeelan Do not say THREE…stop…it is best for you…but Allah is one Allah. This is simple parroting of Biblical scripture. The Creator God of the Holy Bible is not THREE, but ONE.
Yes, I believe in the Biblical concept of the Triune nature of the Creator God. This is what the Trinity is: THE FATHER IS GOD THE SON IS GOD THE SPIRIT IS GOD Each is God. God has revealed himself, through the Holy Bible, as being uniplural in nature. This is abundantly self evident from the very first book of the Bible. Even the last book of the Holy Bible tells us of the uniplural nature of the Creator God: Rev 1:4 ιωαννης ταις επτα εκκλησιαις ταις εν τη ασια χαρις υμιν και ειρηνη απο του ο ων και ο ην και ο ερχομενος και απο των επτα πνευματων α εστιν ενωπιον του θρονου αυτου 1:5 και απο ιησου χριστου ο μαρτυς ο πιστος ο πρωτοτοκος εκ των νεκρων και ο αρχων των βασιλεων της γης τω αγαπησαντι ημας και λουσαντι ημας απο των αμαρτιων ημων εν τω αιματι αυτου iwannhs tais epta ekklhsiais tais en th asia caris umin kai eirhnh apo o wn kai o hn kai o ercomenos kai apo twn epta pneumatwn a enwpion tou qronou autou kai apo ihsou cristou o martus o pistos o prwtotokos twn nekrwn kai o arcwn twn basilewn ths ghs tw agapwnti hmas kai lusanti hmas ek twn amartiwn | [hmwn] | hmwn | en tw aimati autou John to the seven churches in Asia: Grace to you, and peace from the (One), Being who was and who is coming; and from the seven spirits which are before the throne of Him, and from Jesus Christ the Witness faithful, the First-born out of the dead, and the Ruler of the kings of the earth. To the (One) loving us, and having washed us from the sins of us by the blood of Him, The greeting at the beginning of the Book of Revelation comes from: 1) Father 2) Spirit 3) Son This is most interesting, as the authors of the Koran used the Book of Revelation material as one of the major foundational Biblical building blocks in the construction of the Koran… Yes. Each is the one God, from different vantage points… Thanks for your questions… |
