I know the Hebrew language, and by what it seems, I know it much better than you. The term El is a generic term for God, not just the god of Israel, but ANY GOD! It is for the most part, used to "indicate" or "speak" of the God of Israel, but that is not the NAME! It is a title, an attribute of this god, that is "ruler" of the world. That is why in their chants, they usually say "king of the universe". In fact, God called Moses by that same word, Elohim.
It is not the name of God, it is a term for god, ruler, mighty, judge.
