Christian/Muslim ThreadsAllah used By Christians and Jews before Islam ?"ilah" G-d is a common noun that is only used to refer to Allah in the Quran in which the Quran teaches and demands that the ONLY "ilah" there is, is only Allah. "laa ilaaha illaa alllaah ~ there is no "ilah" except Allah" Allahu ilah ~ Allah is G-d Think about the statement. Does it look like this two words are acting like synonyms of each other ? The word "ilah" being a common noun is only applied to Allah in the Quran which is mentioned hundreds of times. So whoever told you that "ilah" means G-d other than Allah obviously better get out from studying in the dark. Allahu ilah ~ Allah is G-d I dont know what muslim sources you studied from but if what you are saying is on the nose then their noses are hurting right about now. |
