Some physical features (such as found in the Inuit’s) are the result of their environment. Inuit children do not have the highly developed skulls found in adults do to the fact their diet causes an increase in bone mass. Some paleontologists believe that all humanoids are the same species and that they did not become extinct but intermarried with stronger tribes.
You see Unconvinced there are explanations other than evolution for the differences in the fossil record vs. modern men. Diet and nutrition can explain some differences in stature and bone structure.
You are unconvinced about religion and I am unconvinced about evolution and other "theories" based on assumptions drawn from what people want to believe.
Unless you believe that matter and energy came into being spontaneously then the only logical explanation is a supreme being who created the elements that compose this universe.
If you read Genesis 1 and look up the words used you will find that the word translated day can mean “an undetermined length of time” and is translated day, days, continually, yesterday, today, and tomorrow. Genesis uses the Hebrew word for created from nothing in only 3 verses, 1, 21, and 27. The first 6 “days” of creation have the terms “morning and evening” however the 7th day lacks this descriptive phrase. So the length of a day can be viewed as almost anything since God is still resting from His creative work; or in other words we are still living the 7th “day”.
Modern men are somewhat arrogant. We believe we live longer (at least one Pharaoh lived over 90 years), the Bible states a lifespan is 70 or 80 years:
Psalm 90:10
10 As for the days of our life, they contain seventy years,
Or if due to strength, eighty years,
Yet their pride is but labor and sorrow;
For soon it is gone and we fly away. NAS
I have ancestors who lived to be 80+ in the 17th century. If anything we are living shorter lives due to being slothful and eating improper diets. If family history is any indication of lifespan I have an excellent chance of living 80+ years as for the last 6 generations only 3 of my grandparents did not live past 80 and 2 died of cancer in the last century and 1 was shot by an Indian in Tennessee.
BTW, why come to a fundamentalist message board and attempt to destroy people’s faith? I find it interesting and telling that every Christian message board I post to have posters who think it is there duty to denigrate our faith. Why?
