Welcome Slipslopslap
Quote(The pharasee's where perfect old testament people! They followed and lived by law! Jesus gave the OT god a slap in the face!)
I have a few short but very important points to make about your statement,
A) The God of the O.T. and the God of the N.T. are one and the same. If you turn in the Bible to John Chapter 1 verses 1-18 we can read that the WORD is indeed God Himself.
B) The commandments that were spoken by God on Mount Sinai have not been done away with, they have been explained.
C) The Pharisees had twisted the laws and commands of God to benefit them. They had changed many of the "Laws of Moses" to benefit their own pocket book and to claim praise and envy from the people.
A couple of verses that support the confusion caused by, through, and to the Pharisees can be read in,
Matthew 22: 23-46, All of Matthew 23, just to mention a few wrong teachings and understandings.
D) The Lord Jesus Christ in Matthew 5: through Matthew 7: commonly called the Beatitudes, or the Sermon from the Mount, have Christ explaining the scripture and what He truly meant when He spoke it the first time.
What am I saying? That if Christ slapped the O.T. God in the face, He was slapping Himself, and if He contradicted God's word from the O.T. He was contradicting Himself.
Neither is true, Christ did not contradict He removed confusion!
God Bless and again I say welcome, looking forward to reading about your understandings of truth.
