I think if you took the time to read what I said about the Mayan "myth" and you understand what a "myth" is I have answered your questions. I notice you are ignoring what I said about gravity. You accept gravity, a force you can neither see nor fully explain. This is what religious people call faith. You have placed your faith in science, which is based more on theories than emperical proof.
As to the computer analogy why abandon it? After all it is a better analogy than some machine taking on a life of it own.
