But you are right, I think there are things that one can change to something better as such what you said above. I find that when you rid of something for a long period of time, you find that when going back, it's not as important as you once thought it was. I was REALLY BIG on coke but since I turned to fasting on just water only, I find that I no longer enjoy coke or any other sodas. I dropped 10 lbs just like that! PRAISE GOD! Of course the point is not to fast to lose weight (and many other benefits) but to sacrifice something you loved (or thought you loved) in His Name. I did fast to lose weight once. I claimed that I was fasting for God when in fact I fasted to lose weight. I have to admit, I benefited nothing spiritual in that fast. BIC, Eddie |
