Just so that it is clear to all what is the lie?
And whose side am I on, God's whose else?
You of all people know the varied levels of beliefs and varied beliefs in general of people who post here. And those who only read, exceed that number. When a statement is made that leaves room for people to make false assumptions they will. Look at all the films that are produced about supposed Biblical stories, one fine example is the flood.
The last one I saw with good effects had people boating up to the ark and selling Noah some alcohol. What is that? Just because you and I know that never happened does not mean others know it too.
And I am sure that some of my Bible understanding is not in line with your Biblical understanding, does this make a difference? I guess that depends on the topic of discussion now does it not?
I am convinced of a couple of things and one is that when Christ returns the whole world will know, Matthew 24:27 (also in red) For as lightening that comes from the east is visible even in the west, so will be the coming of the Son of Man.
Is this a secret rapture?
Another would be that the devil is a liar and desires only to cause as much pain as he can to our God who loves us so much.
And most of all I am convinced that God is love, and He has made it overly clear how important it is for us to love one another; 1Corinthians13:1-13
1If I speak in the tongues of men and of angels, but have not love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal. 2If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have a faith that can move mountains, but have not love, I am nothing. 3If I give all I possess to the poor and surrender my body to the flames, but have not love, I gain nothing.
4Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. 5It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. 6Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. 7It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.
8Love never fails. But where there are prophecies, they will cease; where there are tongues, they will be stilled; where there is knowledge, it will pass away. 9For we know in part and we prophesy in part, 10but when perfection comes, the imperfect disappears. 11When I was a child, I talked like a child, I thought like a child, I reasoned like a child. When I became a man, I put childish ways behind me. 12Now we see but a poor reflection as in a mirror; then we shall see face to face. Now I know in part; then I shall know fully, even as I am fully known.
13And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love.
Gods Blessings to you all.
