Creation of JCF Statement of FaithDid God create Sin?Good call, Omega. So even if (huge if) Satan did want to repent, God would not pardon him. That leads to another question - is it correct to say that if someone does commit this sin then, not only will they not receive forgiveness, but they will not even seek it? In other words, if anyone commits this sin, is it right to say that the Holy Spirit will no longer even try to work in this person's life to convict them of sin, therefore they will never even want to repent? If so, that would be one explanation for why the devil will never seek repentance. Here's another question. I've heard it said that true Christians cannot commit the unpardonable sin since the Holy Spirit is in residence in their heart, and since being a Christian and being unable to receive forgiven are mutually exclusive. What does everyone think about that notion? I would imagine that the OSASers would agree, but those against OSAS would disagree. |
