Christian/Muslim ThreadsDeuteronomy 18:18 ... Who Is The Prophet?Yea well, if only you could uncover those eyes and eyes and read what has been posted by 3 people already, people would not be outraged after your deliberate being headstrong. The prophet in question here is JESUS, the Old Testament tells so, the New Testament tells so, they BOTH affirm so, biblical exegesis says so, biblical context shows so, biblical prophecies say so, it doesn't matter how long and how far you are willing to keep running in muslim circles, desperately trying to show it was muhammad, yet you can not even prove "this part of the bible" has been corrupted or not according to your islamic scholars. Irrelevant, I haven't mentioned such agreement or disagreement, don't charge me with something I didn't say, READ THE ENTIRE TEXT, don't pick and choose. You picked a sentence out of the entire text to show that they are brothers. Sorry they are not, not in here, in biblical contextual sense, when Moses was speaking God's word here, he was addressing the Israelites not anyone else, rhetorics and semantics don't save muhammad here. I don't even know what you are trying spell out here, you jump from one topic to another. Entire world can see how arabs treat their israelite brothers today, in history they are your brothers to prove muhammad's prophethood but now they are not, all the world see how ishmaelites are indeed like WILD ASSES as it has been prophesied in Genesis. You like to be stuck with one single issue as we can see, technically it is correct that since ishamel and isaac were brothers so Moses and Muhammad would be brothers too, well not in the biblical text, read entire Deut. 18 ... Since you are ignorant of the biblical context, let me show you where it is WRITTEN that JESUS IS THE LAST ONE to come no one else!!! Jesus said that there would be no more prophets that followed Him. It's included in a parable. The Parable of the Wicked Vinedressers (Mark 12:1-12; Luke 20:9-19) 33 "Hear another parable: There was a certain landowner who planted a vineyard and set a hedge around it, dug a winepress in it and built a tower. And he leased it to vinedressers and went into a far country. 34 Now when vintage-time drew near, he sent his servants to the vinedressers, that they might receive its fruit. 35 And the vinedressers took his servants, beat one, killed one, and stoned another. 36 Again he sent other servants, more than the first, and they did likewise to them. 37 Then last of all he sent his son to them, saying, 'They will respect my son.' 38 But when the vinedressers saw the son, they said among themselves, 'This is the heir. Come, let us kill him and seize his inheritance.' 39 So they took him and cast him out of the vineyard and killed him. In this parable Jesus is describing God sending prophets (the servants who were beaten, killed and stoned). Then Jesus describes Himself when He speaks about the "son" coming LAST OF ALL. If the Son came last of all then there can be no prophet AFTER the last of all. Jesus is clear...there would be no more prophets like the ones of old. These verses in Hebrews 1 also add finality to God's revelation: 1 God, after He spoke long ago to the fathers in the prophets in many portions and in many ways, 2 in these last days has spoken to us in His Son, whom He appointed heir of all things, through whom also He made the world. 3 And He is the radiance of His glory and the exact representation of His nature, and upholds all things by the word of His power. When He had made purification of sins, He sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high. Concerning the anti-Christ, John explains it best in 1 John 4, 1 Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God, because many false prophets have gone out into the world. 2 By this you know the Spirit of God: every spirit that confesses that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is from God; 3 and every spirit that does not confess Jesus is not from God; this is the spirit of the antichrist, of which you have heard that it is coming, and now it is already in the world. Any person or religion that does not confess that Jesus is the Christ come in the flesh is the spirit of the anti-Christ. These verses explain what this means: 1Co 8:6 - "yet for us there is but one God, the Father, from whom are all things and we exist for Him; and one Lord, Jesus Christ, by whom are all things, and we exist through Him." 1Co 12:3 - "Therefore I make known to you that no one speaking by the Spirit of God says, "Jesus is accursed"; and no one can say, "Jesus is Lord," except by the Holy Spirit." Keep running in muslim circles my friend, it builds your stamina up. Maybe then you can prove Muhammad was in the bible, don't forget the trash the Bible verses which strictly point away from Muhammad though, pick those which seem to tell about Muhammad. |
