Quran and Bible debateWhat the Quran says about the Holy BiblePeace zampeada, You should research a little further in history as to when the Bible was finally finished. And since the completion was serveral hundreds years before Muhammed, you will have to agree that the Koran is refering to the complete Bible at the time when these verses was written: Sura 5:46 "And in their [the prophets’] footsteps we sent Jesus the son of Mary, confirming the Torah that had come before him: we sent him the gospel; therein was guidance and light. And confirmation of the Torah that had come before him: a guidance and an admonition to those who fear Allah" Sura 5:47 goes on to say "Let the People of the Gospel Judge by what Allah hath revealed Therein...." If the People of the Gospel are to judge by what God has revealed in the Gospel, then how can the Gospel they are to judge by not be the Gospel God told them to judge by? One more verse: Sura 5:48 says, "To thee (People of the Book) We sent the scripture in truth, confirming the scripture that came before it, and guarding it in safety: so judge between them by what Allah hath revealed, and follow not their vain desires, diverging from the truth that hath come to thee...." And since the verses claim that Bible was indeed revealed at the time of Muhammed, you will also have to agree the following verses from the Old Testament that God has protected His Word: Proverbs 30:5-6 "Every word of God is flawless; he is a shield to those who take refuge in Him. Do not add to his words, or he will rebuke you and prove you a liar." Isaiah 59:21"'As for me, this is my covenant with them' says the LORD. 'My Spirit, who is on you, and my words that I have put in your mouth will not depart from your mouth, or from the mouths of your children, or from the mouths of their descendants from this time on and forever,' says the LORD." Now if you say that the Bible somehow got corrupted, then just how certain are you that Allah has protected the Koran? You can quote a similar verse as I did but it will not explain how Allah accept the Bible and yet the Muslims claim it is corrupted. I think you should try to read the Koran in chronological order because then you will see how Muhammed had changed over the course of his history in reciting the Koran. In His Name, Eddie |
