Hadiths
Is this going to be another blood from a stone scenario to get you to show me the hadith or do I have to go do your reading for you again?
Shites do not believe your hadiths because they believe a majority of them are forged, many of the isnads cannot be traced. The Shites are much more rigorous in hadith authentication than you would have us believe.
Many hadiths ARE forged, by the Kharijites. That's why a strict system of authentication through a chain of transmitters and biographies of the transmitters is in place.
Those hadiths you claim are forgeries are in your sahih volumes, do you know better than Muslim, and Bukhari to judge on what is false and what is not?
Book 41, Number 41.1.7:
Malik related to me from Suhayl ibn Abi Salih from his father from Abu Hurayra that Sad ibn Ubada said to the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, "What do you think I should do if I were to find a man with my wife? Should I leave him there until I had brought four witnesses?" The Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said, "Yes."
Are you going to say this is a false hadith and Abu Haraira has made another fabrication? or are you going to admit this hadith is genuine as it is also in Bukhari, Muslim, and Abu Dawod. If that is the case how do you justify such a stupid comment from your prophet?
This is also correct, a husband's testimony against his wife is insufficient. You need 4 witnesses as you suggested. It's not that the husband should be cool about that, he can obviously divorce his wife, but the ruling of stoning cannot be enacted simply with the husband's testimony.
Then my dear friend it is stupidity, the ruling and the laws around it.
Book 008, Number 3421:
'A'isha (Allah be pleased with, her) reported that it had been revealed in the Holy Qur'an that ten clear sucklings make the marriage unlawful, then it was abrogated (and substituted) by five sucklings and Allah's Apostle (may peace be upon him) died and it was before that time (found) in the Holy Qur'an (and recited by the Muslims).
Or maybe this must be a false hadith as there is only one isnad, even though your whole hadiths are profilerated with this suckling/lawful/unlawful for marriage nonsense. It doesn't really matter how many people memorised the alledgedly divine message if the roots are bad the fruits will be bad, it would explain why converts would be arguing over the stupid legalism of wether one or two sucklings makes a marriage unlawful.
What exactly is your question here?
The question if you recall before you checked the quotes from Al Suyuti were missing koranic verses.
For someone who was unable to show me one clear prophecy in your koran and had to settle that you believe it is from God because of the way it was written ( why is the alternative scenario that this is the way demonic/jinn possessed poets like Hassan Bin Thabbit write is so far fetched to you?) , you have a cheek to attack the prophecies of the bible when it predicts the persian, greek, roman, and collapse of the roman empires years before the events.
Go back to that abandoned thread and dig up the Prophecies I gave you. You're pretty quick to forget them.
OK:
This is not a case of wallowing in defeat or victory, it seems you are being evasive over what I asked, let me get straight to the point, it is good that you mention it is a major prophecy (lets face it thats the only major prophecy in your koran), think about it the message for all mankind's major prophecy has a prediciton that the romans would defeat the byzantines, done over a bet... it's like me having a camp fire discussion and saying " Bush will defeat saddam in about 3 months, who wants to bet with me". I hope you are aware that Yusuf Ali says Mohammed's "short time" meant it would occur between 3 to 9 years, when in fact the victory occurred some 14 years later.
You didn't read the website. There are so many intricacies to the Prophecies. One of them is it identifies the area of the Dead Sea as the lowest part of the land, which it is. Another is that the prophecy says that the Romans will be victorious when they had just been heavily defeated by the Persians.
how exactly does this help us identify that this is from God what
about events in the next 1400 years, is this the best prediction that the islamic god could do in his message to all mankind, a prediction outcome that is too close to the event?
Oh I see. Well you're only looking at Prophecies to determine what is and isn't from God. Look at the rest of the Qur'an apart from its prophecies, it's a miraculous revelation even if it contained no prophecies, that's how you know it is from God.
That is not the norm and you know it, having lived in a muslim controlled country for several years having more than one wife is the norm, even now there is a Saudi man marrying his 60th wife.
haha, I've lived in "Muslim controlled" countries too. It's not the norm though it's prevalent in poorer areas.
I guess the majority of islam are filthy rich?
It's very convenient how quickly you attack the hand that feeds you whenever someone confronts you with a face of islam you do not like you suddenly claim it is not representative of islam, the government is not islamic and is corrupt nothing whatsoever to do with islam, it is a heretical sect of islam, the problem with this attitude is you and the other westernised sunni muslims only make up 5% of the world population of islam, not to mention that of that 5% many are made up of heretical sects like the Ahmadiyya movement, the Nation of Islam e.t.c. It's very strange you suddenly turn on the 95% and claim they are not representative of islam, so you the 5% have the monopoly on the truth and interpretation of islam?
No you misunderstood. I wasn't saying that the Sunnis and people themselves are corrupt, I was saying that the governments who rule them do not RULE BY Islamic governance. There aren't as many Orthodox interpretations as you think, the problem is getting people to apply the laws as they know they should be applied.
