barabbas, rhetorical questions are futile. However, if any group of people could form their own government on land they possessed it is not up to you or me to use our government to refuse to recognize it. India is controlled by Hindu's, some Arab nations by Islam and in fact have codified Islamic law. Your rhetorical question and the reality of our world are equal.
Rom 13:1-7
13:1 Let every person be in subjection to the governing authorities. For there is no authority except from God, and those which exist are established by God. 2 Therefore he who resists authority has opposed the ordinance of God; and they who have opposed will receive condemnation upon themselves. 3 For rulers are not a cause of fear for good behavior, but for evil. Do you want to have no fear of authority? Do what is good, and you will have praise from the same; 4 for it is a minister of God to you for good. But if you do what is evil, be afraid; for it does not bear the sword for nothing; for it is a minister of God, an avenger who brings wrath upon the one who practices evil. 5 Wherefore it is necessary to be in subjection, not only because of wrath, but also for conscience' sake. 6 For because of this you also pay taxes, for rulers are servants of God, devoting themselves to this very thing. 7 Render to all what is due them: tax to whom tax is due; custom to whom custom; fear to whom fear; honor to whom honor. NAS
America has diplomatic relations with Islamic, Hindu, atheist, and other governments that do not recognize the supremacy or authority of Scripture.
Christianity is not a set of rules that are to be used to form a government. Catholicism attempted that and look at the results. Our instructions are to preach the gospel, make disciples, baptize in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, and teach all that Christ has taught us. Among other things Jesus taught:
Matt 5:43-48
43 "You have heard that it was said, 'You shall love your neighbor, and hate your enemy.' 44 "But I say to you, love your enemies, and pray for those who persecute you 45 in order that you may be sons of your Father who is in heaven; for He causes His sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the righteous and the unrighteous. 46 "For if you love those who love you, what reward have you? Do not even the tax-gatherers do the same? 47 "And if you greet your brothers only, what do you do more than others? Do not even the Gentiles do the same? 48 "Therefore you are to be perfect, as your heavenly Father is perfect.
NAS
If you view those who refuse the gospel as your enemy then we are told to simply shake the dust of their city from our shoes, recall your blessing and go about our business. When God is ready to judge them He will do it His way and in His time.
Rom 12:19-21
19 Never take your own revenge, beloved, but leave room for the wrath of God, for it is written, "Vengeance is Mine, I will repay," says the Lord. 20 "But if your enemy is hungry, feed him, and if he is thirsty, give him a drink; for in so doing you will heap burning coals upon his head." 21 Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good. NAS
Heb 10:30-31
30 For we know Him who said, "Vengeance is Mine, I will repay." And again, "The Lord will judge His people." 31 It is a terrifying thing to fall into the hands of the living God. NAS
Jesus also taught that we are to love our neighbors as ourselves. So who is our neighbor? Maybe you need to review the parable of the good Samaritan.
