If Jesus is God, why did he pray to himself in the garden of gethsemane?
If he was God he could have very well have gone about his business without prayer! was he praying to himself?
Ever heard of "setting an example"?
Also in the book of acts it is recorded that Stephen saw Jesus standing at the right hand of God:Acts 7:55 - But he, being full of the Holy Ghost, looked up stedfastly into heaven, and saw the glory of God, and Jesus standing on the right hand of God.
So here i can visulaize God sitting upon His throne of Glory with Jesus standing to His right, these verses show without a shadow of a doubt that JESUS CANNOT BE GOD!
Ever heard of the "Trinity"? God is made manifest in three persons - Father, Son, and Holy Ghost.
The analysis of John 16:27-30 proves that the expression "proceeded forth" means being sent by God, not a creation point........... "I was created by the Father, and have come into the world; I am leaving the world again, and going to the Father. ... "Now we know that You know all things ... by this we believe that You were created by God."
Nice contradiction here. First you say that proper analysis of the expression "proceed forth" means sent by God, not created. Then you substitute the word "created" in for all instances of the phrase "proceed forth." Nicely done. I don't know how much you know about math, but let me give you a simple mathematical example of what you just did. You said:
- We know that x does not equal y.
We also know that the sentence "It takes x licks to get to the center of a Tootsie Roll Tootsie Pop" is true.
Therefore, we can conclude by substitution that the sentence "It takes y licks to get to the center of a Tootsie Roll Tootsie Pop" is also true.
This is lunacy, and it's exactly what you've done in substituting "created" for "proceed forth." If anything, the fact that "proceed forth" does not mean "created" verifies the fact that Jesus was saying He was never created, and the only being that was never created (has no beginning or end) is God.
Please take a look at the other threads on this forum. You'll see that a number of them deal with the question of whether or not Jesus is God.
